Abstract :
The paper demonstrates how the techniques of generalised harmonic analysis may be applied to a PSC motor, allowing for the effects of inter-bar currents. The analysis is verified using an extensive set of experimental measurements made on a 2.5 HP 2-pole motor, which show excellent agreement with calculation, provided an appropriate inter-bar current flow model is adopted
