Abstract :
In this report, we demonstrate the transmission of 80 Gbit/s×6 WDM signals for 100 km by using linear optical amplifiers (LOAs) as repeaters. To the best of our knowledge, it is the highest bit rate transmitted by any kind of semiconductor amplifier.
