Abstract :
In this paper, a kind of robust excitation controller for power systems is proposed. The design principle is based on recently developed nonlinear H∞ control theory for affine nonlinear systems. Simulation results show that the transient properties of power systems are greatly improved by using such H∞ excitation controllers
