Abstract :
The electro-explosion of a cathode microtip accompanied by matter transition into extreme states under a subnanosecond high voltage vacuum discharge is investigated numerically. The plasma microfocus regime of this strongly nonlinear, non-stationary and inhomogeneous dynamical system is considered. The prognosis of the possibility of attaining such a regime in real experiments is presented and the necessary conditions defined.
