  • Abstract
    This paper presents an inter-technology handover method between 3rd Generation Partnership Project Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and Mobile IP version 4 (MIPv4). The proposed approach improves handover performance between IMS and Mobile IP with a goal of reducing packet loss during the handover. Simulation results are presented that highlight the approach taken to reduce packet loss and handover latency.
