Abstract :
In ad-hoc network, an accurate rate adaptation algorithm is required to enhance the performance of time-varying channel. The existing rate adaptation algorithms can be divided into sender- and receiver-based algorithms. They include receiver base autorate (RBAR), full auto rate (FAR), and opportunistic autorate (OAR). These algorithms rely on the request-to-send /clear-to-send (RTS/CTS) to estimate the channel quality.
