Abstract :
Starting with a discussion on the key driving requirements of stand-off ground surveillance radars, a radar architecture is outlined with emphasis on concurrent operation of wide and narrowband modes. A calibration scheme allowing very fine range resolution with controlled sidelobes in squint operation is presented. The paper concludes with considerations on the integration testing of wideband and concurrent modes.
