Abstract :
It is shown that for invertible (time-reversible) discrete-time systems there cannot be input/output high order difference equations of an order less than the dimension of observable realizations. This generalizes the authors´ previous analogous results for the continuous-time case. It is shown by examples that the reversibility condition cannot be weakened. Unified proofs with the continuous case are given
