Abstract :
To produce magnetic circuits for voltage instrument transformers some magnetic cores are applied. Their are made of grain oriented electrical steel. However, magnetic cores with a distributed air gap are more and more often used. As it is well known, such a cores became very sensitive for any mechanical compression stresses and elastic dilatation layer has to be used. The paper describes a practice of using new concept of protection method against stresses in medium voltage instrument transformers.
