Abstract :
The designing of non-typical 12-poles active magnetic bearing (AMB) is presented. A computer simulation method including the control system was given. We created the mathematical model of the AMB for the transient analysis. Thus the dynamic characteristics of the shaft locus position have been determined. The measurement values of the control current as well as the shaft position in the magnetic bearing have been compared with the calculation ones. A good agreement has been obtained.
