Conditional Access in Blu-ray Disc MPEG-2 Transport Streams

Conditional access in most DVD recorders today is non-existent. In some high-end DVD recorders, there is partial conditional access at title level. However, such mechanisms of conditional access are highly proprietary and have very limited portability. With the advent of the Blu-ray recorders, it is possible to achieve conditional access at variable levels, starting from the entire disc to just a few video frames. This paper discusses convenient and computationally undemanding mechanisms of achieving conditional access in Blu-ray streams.
