Abstract :
In order to overcome the bottlenecks of limited bandwidth and increasing power consumption in CMOS chips due to conventional metal interconnects, photonic data links are an increasingly important research topic for both academia and industry. Recently demonstrated hybrid silicon(Si) microring lasers[1] can be good candidates for Si-based light sources for photonic data links.
