Abstract :
It has analyzed reasons of high-speed dry cutting technology production and application in gear processing. It enumerates the comparisons between dry cutting technology and traditional processing. It has the merits of space and energy consuming, unit production cost, occupation area, processing time and so on. The experiment shows that the processing time in dry cutting is 25 percent of traditional processing methods. The motor working time is only 1/4 than that of before. Although cemented carbide tool itself is very expensive, it can be resharpened for many times and can process many more parts after each tool sharpening. Ultimately the workpiece cost is declined. Also one dry cutting machine can replace four traditional processing equipments because it does not have oil tank, chip transmission, oil mist collection and heat exchanger. The characteristics of high-speed dry cutting include energy saving, processing time saving, the production efficiency enhancement and environmental protection. It will be one kind of green optimized manufacture crafts.
