Abstract
Dual band systems operating in the ISM and U-NII unlicensed bands are of growing interest. LTCC with its outstanding three-dimensional packaging capability is one of the most suitable technologies for the realization of high performance, compact WLAN transceivers. In this paper we describe the design of a diplexer for IEEE 802.11 a/b/g compliant front-ends. The proposed structure utilizes a lumped element filter for the 2.4-2.5 GHz passband, while a distributed element network is employed to realize the filter in the 5-6 GHz band. Simulated and measured results are presented.
