Abstract :
The problem of intersampling ripple in digital control of continuous time processes is addressed. Based on a block multirate input-output representation of the discretized system, the control input, updated at a fast rate, is computed to minimize its variations. Different cost functions are considered, stating the problem as either a regulator or tracking problem. The availability of fast output measurements is also considered, leading to an output feedback controller with similar performances
