Abstract :
Implementing the combined line driver for IEEE 802.3 10Base-T and 100Base-TX communication systems has become severely limited as technologies approach 0.18 μm and power supplies reduce to 1.8 V. This paper compares different implementations of line drivers and shows a topology that is capable of meeting the IEEE 802.3 specifications in a 0.18 μm technology and a 1.8 V power supply
