Abstract :
In order to achieve timely response, decision-making in emergency situation needs rapid integration of decision models and the ability to orchestrate the execution of the model(s) in real time by understanding heterogeneous and distributed models and choosing appropriate ones from a collection of models in emergency decision support systems. In this paper, after the in-depth research to new challenges of emergency decision, we describe an architecture that defines a service-oriented, Web service and multi agent system (MAS) based approach to model management. According to the characteristics of the agility and real-time demand of its decision making process, this model management method includes model description, publishing, querying and bindings with Web services and XML technology following service oriented architecture (SOA), and model transformation by Web services and model selection and dispatch with agents. Two types of decision model are defined: atomic and composite model. Each has its own type of model description and transformation to compose new satisfying models for special emergency decision problems. And it gives an application example to verify the advantages of the method.
