Abstract :
A new design of triple-band bandpass filter (BPF) using multilayer-based substrates is proposed in this paper. The BPF is designed to have three passbands at 2.3-2.7 GHz, 3.3-3.9 GHz and 5.15-5.85 GHz for wireless metropolitan area network air interface (WiMAX). The design concept is to arrange three pair of coupled resonators in the multilayer structure to generate three passbands. By using the multilayer-based substrate, the triple-band BPF can simultaneously achieve size reduction and produce the cross-coupling effect. Experimental results are in good agreement with the full-wave simulation results.
