            Abstract :
This paper presents a time-domain technique for determining the periodic steady-state of autonomous circuits such as oscillators which do not have an external source of excitation. The technique is a modification to the well-known shooting methods which are used for time-domain steady-state analysis of periodic circuits. Autonomous adaptations of the shooting methods based upon the shooting-Newton algorithm have been proposed earlier. This paper investigates the use of a quasi-Newton technique called Broyden´s technique to solve the autonomous shooting equations. This increases the range of applicability of the autonomous technique and can be implemented around any time domain simulator with ease
