Abstract
The rapid technology advances enable healthcare system to monitor physiological signals in human´s daily life. The wearable healthcare system should be not only small and easy for users to wear them but accurate in measuring physiological signals in daily life without any inconvenience. To meet these requirements we propose a headband-style device to be easily wearable, smart headband. It measures a photo-plethysmography (PPG) signal at the forehead for monitoring the heart rate and acceleration signals for counting the number of steps. For the precise measurement, we adopt adaptive noise cancellation (ANC). Smart headband can provide the healthcare service to monitor the health state and to alert emergency situation.
