Abstract :
Riccati-equation-based solutions are provided for a two-way disturbance vs. the disturbance rejection problem in linear time-varying (LTV) systems. Both state feedback and dynamic compensation are considered, and the solution to the standard H problem is obtained as a particular case. This is followed by a general Riccati-equation-based characterization of LTV J-inner and J-co-inner plants, and J-inner/outer factorizations. The latter are intimately associated with the solution of feedback design problems
