Abstract :
Packet transmission over the mobile radio channel is generally plagued by fast (Rayleigh) fading of the carrier signal. By characterizing the fade and interfade durations in a channel, the probability of success of packet transmission with a predetermined packet size and vehicle speed may be calculated
