Abstract :
Frequent social interaction among individuals of diverse background and knowledge is regarded as a factor to promote collaborative creativity. Social media is known for its ability to facilitate social interaction. Learning activity incorporating social media could create a casual social space that is beneficial to spark creativity and promote learner´s engagement. This preliminary work proposed a module-based learning analytics system for Facebook-supported collaborative creativity learning activity. The system includes five sub-modules to retrieve learners´ digital traces, analyze the learning process and feedback the analytics results. The proposed system can be used to analyze the learners´ behavioral patterns in the creative process and thus help instructor to better oversee the learning activity and provide timely intervention. Moreover, through learning analytics, the driving factors of collaborative creativity can be better delineated.
