Abstract
A low temperature sensor have been designed based on frequency shift of whispering gallery modes of a fiber-coupled microdisk. Thermal expansion of the microdisk can shift its resonance frequency which is then used for temperature measurements. Our sensor designed to measure temperatures in the range of 0 to about 60°C with slope of 120 MHz/°C.
