Abstract :
A novel reconfigurable, area optimized low noise amplifier designed for DCS1800, UMTS and IEEE802.11b/g standards is described in this paper. The design is based on enhanced single stage common gate architecture. Two feedback loops are employed to LNA be easily reconfigured for each standard. These feedback loops not only enhance the input matching and NF parameter but also improve the linearity of the LNA. A switched capacitor resonator is responsible for the band selection. The design is done in a 0.18mum CMOS technology and the simulation results show that the NF and S11 parameters are better than 2.3dB and -17 dB respectively in each frequency band. The design meets the performance requirements of above mentioned standards. The design also achieves low area and low power consumption in comparison with a single band LNA
