Collaborative structures of China´s University innovation based on patent analysis

Industry-university-research institution collaboration plays more and more important roles in the regional innovation systems. However, what is the structure of the collaboration in the systems? What´s more, what´s the relationship between the structure and the activities of regional innovation? This study examined the Indus-try-university-research institution collaborative modes within four different regional innovation systems of China. Based on the patents including universities of Guangdong province, Zhejiang province, Liaoning province and Sichuan province during the year 2000-2010, different collaborative structures in regional innovation systems are discussed.
