  • Abstract
    An adaptive control strategy for a class of first-order nonlinear systems of the form x= theta 1*Tf(x)+ theta 2*Tg(x)u is presented. It is assumed that the system remains controllable for all values of x, but that the sign of theta 2*Tg(x) is unknown. Nonglobally Lipschitz nonlinearities are tolerated in the system through g(x).
