Abstract
The Pulse EPABX was introduced by Northern Telecom about six years ago, and since then 13,000 have been sold all over the world. The utilization of the Switched Mode Power Supply technology resulted in the reduction of power consumption through improved efficiency. At the same time, the volume and weight of the power system was reduced by half; thus a substantial cost reduction in labour and material was achieved. This paper describes the new integrated power shelf for the Pulse EPABX.
