Abstract
In the present contribution, a 6-year database of Zenith Tropospheric Delay products, generated by the International GNSS Service (IGS), are exploited with the aim of estimating the water vapor attenuation in Madrid region at Alphasat beacon frequency of 39.4 GHz. In addition, a comparison study with estimates obtained by different methods is carried out. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that IGS products are a valuable database providing good estimates with a very interesting time-resolution, which can be included within the analysis of propagation and meteorological measurements. Furthermore, a certain level of bias was observed in the comparison study and some hypothesis about its origin are proposed.
