Abstract :
With the economic globalization and since the forming of the global market, competition has become fiercer and fiercer in any industry. Global company is, up to date, the highest enterprise form. Global companies possess many advantages, for instance, they can integrate and allocate resources globally. However, without proper management, no company can succeed, nor can global companies. In order to have a stand in the global market, to form and strengthen core competence, to increase competitive advantage, to become the leader in the industry, and to develop sustainably, global companies must pay enough attention to their management, especially, adopting supply chain management. Then, what is supply chain management? What are the scope and the principles of the supply chain management of global companies respectively? Why do global companies need to implement supply chain management? How do global companies conduct it? When implementing it, what problems do they encounter? And how do they deal with the problems? This paper discusses all these questions. And on the basis of the above, it also draws the following conclusion: global companies should implement supply chain management, analyze all the enterprises concerned in the supply chain, enter into friendly and close relationships with other enterprises in the chain, enhance close cooperation with them, focusing on the customer, share interest with them, and undertake risks jointly with them, only by doing so, can all the enterprises in the chain benefit mutually, and can global companies develop successfully and sustainably.
