Abstract :
Logistics supply chain management has become more and more important for modern businesses, especially for the major retailing corporations, and logistics supply chain management has become part of the senior management agenda in the manufacturing and retailing industries. Multi-agent system, which can effectively process distributed large scale data, is developed to coordinate the logistics supply chain and thus to manage the risk for the major retailing corporation when its warehouses and cross-docks had been opened and operated in this paper. The proposed multi-agent system adaptively changes over time when new organizations become involved and other disappear. The proposed multi-agent system increases the level of flexibility in the supply chain and enables supply chain members to be more responsive, thus has a positive impact on the ordering lead-time, human processing time, the inventory levels and number of stock-outs.
