Abstract :
South Korea is a newly industrialized country where reliable energy consumption data are available back to the early 1960s. In this research, to understand the energy consumption and CO2 emission flows from industrial sectors, energy input-output analysis and network approach were used. For energy input output analysis, ordinary trade table for energy sector and energy trade for non energy sector were used. The ordinary trade table is made of TOE (Tonnage of oil equivalent) unit, and the energy trade table is made of cost unit. The energy trade table can be changed to TOE unit by the ordinary trade table, those can see amount of CO2 flows by mathematical calculations. The goal of this research is to visualize and understand each industry sector´s energy consumption and CO2 flow trend from 1975 to 2000 in South Korea.
