Abstract :
In a MAS (Multi-Agent System) agents may be heterogeneous. Two disparate agents require a common understanding of messages and message content in order to interact with each other. So a conversation protocol is needed for the communication of agents. Several conversation protocols have been proposed, but these don´t work well in an environment of heterogeneity where an agent wishing to interact with a large number of other disparate agents cannot be expected to have knowledge of how to initiate or maintain a conversation with all other agents it may encounter. This paper proposes an application independent conversation protocol is defined at first in which a sequence of activities an agent has to perform to solve the problems in the communication using KQML with the notation of FSM.
