Abstract :
We clarify the impact of the detection layer on the dynamic properties of an optical transceiver diode (TRAD) for use in time compression multiplexing (TCM) systems. We obtained successful transceiver operation at 155.52 Mbps, including switching operation. We show the possibility of operation at over several hundred Mbps over a broad range of wavelengths and temperatures.
