Abstract :
A novel type of single-mode device: the simplified ARROW structure; together with a DFB grating provides, at λ=0.97 μm, stable, single-frequency CW operation to 157 mW in a stable, narrow (θ/sub 1/2 /=4.5°) beam, with a RIN level of -154 dB/Hz to 8 GHz.
