Abstract :
Summary form only given. Technology has always been the force multiplier that influenced production and effected increase in the standard of living. It is when technology is applied to add value to resources and provide marketable products/services that wealth is incremented. Traditional curricula in universities have, by and large, not kept pace with demands of modern times. Many business schools subjects have been based on traditional methods of finance, accounting, marketing and management that were developed to deal with that scheme. They are inadequate when treating issues of technological change. Meanwhile technical education from engineering schools must be broadened to include business perspective if technology is to be developed to reach the marketplace and to compete in an international arena. In this paper, three points are identified to be essential in a management of technology (MOT) educational program: (1) prepare students to the fact that the world is changing; (2) people must be given skills to compete globally; and (3) prepare people for the exponential growth of technology
