Abstract :
Robust stability and performance analysis problems are considered for continuous-time single-input single-output plants in the H ∞ setting. For a multiplicative uncertainty model, it is shown that well-known conditions for stability and performance are not necessary conditions. It is shown that there is no equivalence between the stability and performance problems. It is argued that stability of the M-Δ configuration is not always equivalent to robust stability. Uniform stability and uniform performance are considered and their relationship with each other is examined
