  • Abstract
    The mobile agent, in definition, is the program that can move independently from a host computer to another one, and can interact with other agents or resources in the network. In this paper, by analyzing the general framework, security, and communication mechanism of the aglet platform, firstly we present a new migration mechanism, i.e., RPC serialization and the far thread insertion mechanism, of mobile agent based on the compiling language C++ instead of the interpreted language such as Java. Secondly, a new class migration mechanism is proposed for the first time. Finally, mobile agents~{!/~} migration technology is applied to oil and gas engineers~{!/~} PDA and good effects have been achieved in the experimental results.
