Abstract
The authors show how to attain the robust stability and the robust performance of decentralized control systems by a sequential design procedure. Compared with independent designs in which each controller block is designed independently of the others, the sequential designs can reduce the conservatism associated with the controller design since they can exploit information about the other loops. The proposed method is systematic and can deal with extensions of subsystems
