Abstract :
Summary form only given. The inverse problem of extracting the maximal amount of information from sensor data lies at the heart of all multi-sensor target tracking systems. The problem is particularly difficult because of data association which arises from the presence of false data. In this talk we will examine certain fundamental aspects of this problem. We will also discuss recent advances in sensor adaptive target tracking and their relationship to optimal information extraction.
