Abstract :
This work proposes a novel scheme for Multi User Detection (MUD), in an overloaded Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system where the number of Transmit antennas (Nt) is greater than the number of Receive antennas (Nr), using HARQ with Network Coding (NC). The primary aim of this work is to transform the overloaded systems into critically loaded (Nt = Nr) or underloaded MIMO (Nt <; Nr) systems while enhancing the performance. The performance measures are Bit Error Rate (BER) and Throughput. The proposed scheme substantially reduces the BER and packet drop rate with throughput enhancement up-to 20-25% as compared to traditional schemes proved in the end by the simulation results.
