Abstract :
This paper shows the design, simulation and fabrication of a 16×8 microstrip planar array antenna that is tuned to work at the millimetric E-frequency band with 1GHz bandwidth. Good matching is verified with better than -10dB reflection coefficient parameter and -18dB coupling coefficient parameter within the frequency band-width from 79.6 up to 80.6 GHz. More than 18dBi gain and 61.3 degrees HPBW in the H-plan cut radiation pattern is also achieved. The designed array can be used in high capacity point-to-point communication applications.
