Abstract :
Traditional label-based image authentication methods store the signature in separate file to verify the integrity of the protected images. It may result in management problem and can be a limit for practical applications. In this paper, we propose a layer stuffing technique which can attach the verification data directly to JPEG2000 packets to support the progressive functionality of JPEG2000 standard. Experimental results show that the data-inserted code stream can be correctly decoded by JPEG2000 Part-1 compliant decoders for lower-bit-rate applications. Because the proposed layer stuffing technique is simple and effective, it can be easily implemented for applications of consumer electronics.
