Abstract :
A novel polynomial identification method for the Hammerstein system is proposed. By using a nonparametric estimation method and best approximation theory, an approximating polynomial of the memoryless nonlinear element, with its order being selected adaptively, is obtained. The approximating polynomial can converge to the nonlinearity uniformly, and under the Lipschitz condition its convergence rate is considerable
