  • Abstract
    To ensure reliable acquisition of data in DVB-RCS systems, it is necessary to use a carrier frequency offset estimator having a large estimation range. This paper proposes an efficient data-aided feed-forward carrier frequency estimation algorithm for DVB-RCS systems. In this paper, the performances of the DA CFO estimation algorithms are compared and an efficient CFO estimation algorithm which is a modified version of M&M algorithm is proposed. Proposed algorithm needs less multiplication and arc-tangent operations than ones of original M&M algorithm and reduces the hardware complexity.
