Abstract :
Control characteristics of the magnetic amplifier, which is used as a PWM element in a dc-to-dc converter, are analyzed by considering a reverse recovery of the diode and a dc magnetizing characteristic of the core. By employing a transistor-core multivibrator with MOS FETs in a inverter circuit, a high efficiency and high reliable push-pull dc-to-dc converter with 1 MHz switching is realized.
