Abstract :
A wideband (4.94-6.959 GHz) four element rectangular dielectric resonator antenna array has been designed for 5.0 GHz WLAN and WiMAX band and its radiation characteristics determined through simulation studies using CST Microwave Studio software. Further, simulation results for power absorption in a homogenous bio-medium (muscle layer) in direct contact with the proposed antenna array is presented in terms of specific absorption rate (SAR) distribution in the medium.
