Abstract
In this paper we present the design of a low profile antenna for on board GNSS applications in GEO satellites to allow their autonomous orbit determination. The antenna, tuned in two GNSS bands, is based on two stacked microstrip radiators working at TM 2,1 mode to provide a maximum of gain between 10° and 40° of θ, for any value of azimuth (φ). An alternative antenna is also presented to perform a more simple design, with a single microstrip radiator working at TM 2,1 and 3,1 modes.
