Abstract
The spreading signals modulated by BOC(pn, n) signals will be used for the next generation global navigation satellite system. The auto-correlation function of the binary phase shift keying modulated spreading signal has just one main peak, whereas the BOC(pn, n) modulated one has many sub-peaks with one main peak. In this paper, we observe that the correlation function in the advanced offset region remains almost unchanged, which is due to the fact that multipath signals arrived later than a line-of-sight signal. Based on this observation, we propose a novel code tracking bias compensation scheme based on the advanced region slopes for BOC(pn, n) modulated spreading signals.
