  • Abstract
The wireless billboard channels (WBCs) are integral part of the ubiquitous consumer wireless world (UCWW) - the wireless next generation network (NGN) proposal. The WBCs are used by the service providers (xSPs) for broadcasting advertisements of their services to the mobile terminals (MTs) so that the mobile users (MUs) may discover and associate with the best service following a user-driven dasiaalways best connected and best servedpsila paradigm (ABC&S). In this paper, a 3-layer model, a number of efficient algorithms and a software testbed for WBCs based on the digital video broadcast - handheld standard (DVB-H), are set out.
